Today, we are building Stratson, software for general contractors. We automate estimation, planning, document intelligence, and the internal workflows that carry a project forward.
This work gives us a data baseline. We learn what makes a good project, how to approach preconstruction, and what to look for in a review. Before we build, we learn how to build well.
The next step is to become an AI-native general contractor ourselves.
Trade partners and subcontractors will still carry out the work. We will bring together the best combination of their bids and coordinate the project. The aim is to build with them, not put them out of business.
The knowledge we gain through software will become the way we run construction.
Then we turn to the work itself. Trade by trade, we can develop machines and robots capable of carrying out construction.
As those capabilities mature, we can begin to build in space, on the Moon, and on Mars.
Training astronauts to build in space is too costly and too risky to be the foundation of construction at that scale. We need machines that can work in conditions beyond human limits, with capabilities beyond our own.
With the data to understand construction and the robotic capabilities to execute it autonomously beyond Earth, Stratson can become a multiplanetary construction firm.
That is the goal. Each step gives us the knowledge and capability to take the next. To work at a galactic scale, we must be AI-native.
Alongside Stratson, I am building Squareshields. Today, it is a personal project. In time, I envision an architecture firm for brutalist, green, utopian architecture on other planets.
Squareshields will evolve alongside Stratson. I expect to announce it when the time is right, probably around Stratson's Series B.
Stratson will build. Squareshields will imagine and design the places we will inhabit.
The path is clear.
The work has already begun.
